  Checked in after a long day Christmas shopping. Warm friendly atmosphere, nothing is too much trouble! Great well presented food with a huge menu choice. We stayed in a family room which was very spacious and clean. Would recommend anyone to stay here.

  Great traditional style pub with good food. Not just for locals, welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Could do with better selection of ales as there are plenty of local micro breweries.

  This being our local for Four years where have met many new friends, most of the staff are lovely.
  Unfortunately the change in kitchen staff has seen the standards fall.
  They also have a problem with the lager that has been flat for the last two months.
  My friend complained when we ordered a round but the girl behind the bar said our customers like it like this and nobody else is complaining, he told her she was wrong and she got angry and upset, we also only had one out of the three drinks we paid for and asked for the other two, she said we had them and refused to give them to us.finally the manager gave them.
  We go in most days but two weeks after that incident we walked in and were barred publicly, it was humiliating.
  i'm 50 and have never been barred from anywhere in my life, the reason given is that we were rude to the girl and manager after asking them to give us our drinks on that day. a very unpleasant experience and if anybody was rude it was the staff members in question who lied and made something out of nothing.unprofessional, beyond words.

  Another lovely stay, this is the 6th time we have stayed here and have never been disappointed, room are clean and warm in winter cool in summer, beautiful surroundings, lovely food and very friendly people, would be my first choice when coming here.

  First time visiting. Blown away. Kind friendly staff who are a pleasure to interact with. The food is fairly priced and tastes amazing.
